Why population growth is high in developing countries?
The economy of the country moves from underdeveloped to developing to a developed nation. During the underdevelopment phase due to high illiteracy rate and poor medical facilities, death and birth rate both are high so population growth rate is low, but during the development phase, the government spend money on better health facilities to provide better care to pregnant woman, better facilities for old people and newborn, due to which death rate falls down. This survey was conducted in Mal Bamori village of Mangrol taluka of Baran district of Rajasthan.
During the survey household data was collected on different parameters and information was collected
The total population of this village is 2093 out of them 1093 are male and 1000 are female. The total number of literate people are 1221, out of the 772 are male and 449 are female and the total number of illiterate people is 872, out of the 321 are male and 551 are female.
Based on the above-mentioned information gender ratio can be calculated, as we know that the gender ratio is the number of females per 1000 male, which can be calculated by below mentioned the formula
Gender ratio:
Gender ratio = = 914.91,
in round figure it is 915, so the gender ratio of this village is 915 females per 1000 male.
Similarly, the literacy rate in the village is the ratio of literate people to total people per 100
Literacy rate = (1221/2093) x 100 = 58.33 percent
