Polynomials

Introduction

In your previous Class, you have studied polynomials in one variable and their degrees. Recall that if p(x) is a polynomial in x, the highest power of x in p(x) is called the degree of the polynomial. In this chapter you will study different types of polynomials based on the number of terms i.e. monomial, binomial, trinomial, quadrinomial etc. and on the basis of degree of polynomial i.e. Linear polynomial, Quadratic polynomial, Cubic polynomial. You will find the meaning of zeros and how to find them in the polynomials by different methods. Geometrical Meaning of the Zeros of a Polynomial, Division Algorithm for Polynomials are being discussed in this chapter.
